29. The Covenant (Exodus 24: 3 - 7)
After announcing the Commandments and Laws, Moses mediated a covenant. He sacrificed an oxen and took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he threw against the altar. He also took the blood and threw it on the people and commanded them to obey the covenant. Even though the people promised to be obedient, the obedience didn't last long. So, God mediated a second covenant. What's the second covenant? What's the difference between the first covenant and the second? How do we know the second covenant would work better for us than the first one?
